[break][break] the jaw-drop is almost comical, as is nearly everything with ollie considering that his expressions are so animated. he doesn't seem to know the anger that Melody Miro is hiding; if he does, he most likely attributes it to the same passion of anyone who has seen something amiss.

[break][break] she shuffles around him, and he nods in agreement. "good thinking." in his lapel, he speaks into his ranger communicator. "ollie calling in; sounds like there are some cultists in the city. fellow rangers be on the look-out."

[break][break] when he looks up again, he sees that the pink-haired lady is trodding right off. luckily for him, it only takes a few strides to catch up to her. the benefit of being tall. "ok, we got this!" he says, with a bright grin. "lead the way!"

he blinks, verdant green gaze flickering with surprise as the other grabs his hand and begins dragging him towards the source of the crime. ollie is not at all putting up a fight — probably almost the opposite, if the slight dusting of blush on his cheeks is any indication. or perhaps that's just a trick of the light.

[break][break] "YEAH!" he agrees. "FUCK OFF!"

[break][break] the happy-go-lucky way in which he greets them might imply that his words are less than vicious as it initially seems, but that's just the way ollie looks. like a golden retriever.

[break][break] of course, that could change in an instant.

[break][break] as Melody Miro is left wide open, one of the other cultists decide to take advantage of the gap. with the power of a sunny day aiding him, the simesear aims a flame burst.

[break][break] ollie acts before he thinks, leaping in front of the elite four member.

[break][break] "the fuck, man?!"

[break][break] luckily his togekiss has more foresight than him. the pokemon's SAFEGUARD gleams as she protects her trainer and Melody Miro both, though some embers still scald ollie's forearms. (a fact that he likely wouldn't notice until later.) rearing back, the togekiss than releases a FAIRY WIND towards the cultists, to draw them back while the primarina prepared herself.

Melody Miro had things handled by the look of it, but ollie was more than happy to provide support. as she offered the offending parties a withering glare that would even put medusa to shame, a blastoise appears behind them to allow a rainy day to scatter showers and cancel out the sunny day.

[break][break] there are shouts of argument and disbelief, which are quickly quieted as ollie's own pikachu leaps into the air in front of them, cheeks crackling with electricity.

[break][break] not an attack, but a warning.

[break][break] he blinks, however at the question. "oh!" it hadn't even occurred to him to call for back-up. "no — but i could call them if ya want."

[break][break] he flashes her a grin too, matching her devilish expression. she was an elite four member after all. she would definitely show 'em her stuff!

[break][break] exclamations of surprise and yelps of pain echo through the air as Melody Miro does her worst. waves crash down and throw some of the cultists riverside. "right, tofu! we can't let miss melody do all the work. let's get in there. electro ball, go!"

[break][break] the pikachu races forward, leaping into the air and spinning. his tail smashes against a newly-formed yellow orbed, crashing against the water and causes an electric current to run into the cerulean sea. the men who are already in the water pass out ceremoniously, floating to the surface. those who are on the edge of being thrown in look up with wide, and terrified eyes.
